Along with the evolution of Sino-US trade disputes, on May 8th, the heads of state of China and the United States reached an important consensus on the telephone to properly handle bilateral economic and trade issues.

On the 10th, the spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce of China said at the regular press conference that the two teams are currently communicating on the relevant arrangements for the next consultation.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) warned last month that escalating trade conflicts could affect business confidence and investment decisions, significantly lowering global trade growth. It could lead to the breakdown of trade relations between major economies and will make the global economy deviate from the recovery track of the past few years and threaten economic growth and employment.
